NSW Anti-slavery Forum

The NSW Anti-slavery Forum, held twice a year, is a signature event convened by the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner to foster an anti-slavery community of purpose.

The Forum brings together government, unions, business, academia, civil society and people with lived experience of modern slavery to catalyse collaboration to address modern slavery. The Anti-slavery Forum encourages learning from and connection with others committed to combating modern slavery in our state.

The inaugural NSW Anti-slavery Forum was held in person in Sydney on 21 and 22 May 2024. The second Anti-slavery Forum will be held online in November 2024.

Lived Experience participation supports

The NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner encourages participation in the Forum by people with lived experience of modern slavery. OASC has developed specific supports to ensure this participation is both safe and meaningful. Through this initiative, we have created an environment that supports trauma-informed and empathetic interactions between all participants.
