Seven News and The Daily Advertiser came along to see Junee CC's historic reopening as a public facility last week.
The news outlets joined Minister Anoulack Chanthivong, Commissioner Gary McCahon PSM and Deputy Commissioner Anne Marie Martin, as they toured the centre on Friday.
Media were given insight into the facility's operations following a successful 16-month private-to-public transition.
Mr McCahon praised staff, who maintained day-to-day operations throughout the process.
"The advantage that we have here is that staff have been here for a long time, and speaking with the staff going around today, all of them, the general thing is they're really excited about the transition," he told The Daily Advertiser.
