DCJ Gender Equality Action Plan 2025–2028

The DCJ Gender Equality Action Plan 2025–2028 (PDF, 415.6 KB) sets out our direction and priorities for advancing gender equality across our workforce and the services we deliver to the people of NSW.

About the plan

The DCJ GEAP is a three-year plan developed as part of a NSW Government commitment under the NSW Women’s Strategy 2023–2026 and the Women’s Opportunity Statement, now the Gender Equality Budget Statement. It aims to ensure equitable access and treatment for women, men, and gender diverse people within our workforce and for the wider NSW community.

The plan is built around three key pillars:

  • Our leaders – Supporting leaders to champion inclusive, safe, and equitable workplaces.
  • Our people – Embedding inclusive practices in recruitment, career development, and workplace systems.
  • Our work – Applying a gender lens to policy, programs, service delivery, and operations.

Each pillar includes focus areas and actions informed by evidence, DCJ workforce data, and staff-wide consultation.

Gender equality at DCJ

At DCJ, we are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and supported. Promoting gender equality is essential to building a stronger, more inclusive department – and to delivering better outcomes for the people of NSW.
