Closing the Gap alignment

At DCJ, we are dedicated to helping Close the Gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and non-Indigenous Australians. “Closing the Gap” is a national effort to reduce the inequities faced by Indigenous communities.

How does One Mob One Job align with Closing the Gap?

1.        Community-led solutions

We partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities, supporting their leadership in designing solutions that reflect their unique strengths, needs, and aspirations.

2.      Shared Accountability

Together, we are responsible for driving real progress, being transparent in our actions, and working together to ensure we honour our commitments.

3.      Cultural Respect

We are committed to deepening cultural understanding across all staff, strengthening relationships by recognising and valuing the rich traditions and knowledge within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Through this collaboration, we are building a fairer and more inclusive future, shaped by the voices and wisdom of the communities we work with. By embracing Aboriginal Ways of Knowing, Being, and Doing, we aim to build a system that is respectful, inclusive, and works for everyone.
