We are committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children in NSW.

Our commitment

Watch this video to hear DCJ Secretary Michael Tidball and the senior leadership team affirm their commitment to child safety. Hear about the strategic role DCJ is playing to implement child safe standards as well as some of the work that’s already improving child safety across NSW.

The Child Safe Scheme

The Child Safe Scheme has been introduced to make child related organisations safer for all young people. The new legislated scheme has 10 Child Safe Standards recommended by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse following extensive research and consultation about what makes organisations child safe.
