Measure - public housing managed dwellings
Description
This refers to public housing (PH) residential dwellings - Managed by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. The NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) owns the NSW Government’s public housing portfolio.
Property Type includes the following:
- Unit: A self-contained dwelling within a multi-storey building containing more than one dwelling. Usually, units share a common entrance and stairway (or lift), and common open space. Where the building contains only two dwellings, one above the other, the dwelling are defined as units
- Villa: One of two or more attached properties, each with its own entrance and usually private open space. May share common facilities such as driveways and garbage areas
- Townhouse: One of two or more attached properties, usually two-storey and not more than three storeys high. Each dwelling has a separate entrance and its own private open space. May share common facilities such as driveways and garbage areas
- Cottage: A dwelling that is freestanding and usually on its own, separately titled, block of land
- Terrace: One of a row of two or more attached properties, often of uniform style, up to three storeys high, and historically decorated with cast iron lacework. Each dwelling is separately titled, fronts a public road and has its own entrance and private open space. Mostly constructed in the 19th or early 20th centuries
