DCJ provides financial support for children who are unable to live at home with their families, placed in out-of-home care (OOHC) under a court order made in the NSW Children's Court.
These payments can help carers with some of the unexpected costs of raising a child so they are not disadvantaged.
This page provides links to forms and tools available to DCJ carers, in DCJ's OOHC Financial Guidelines.
Use the Carer Expenditure Logbook to claim re-imbursement for medical, schooling and education, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.
Use the Carers Self-assessment and Continuation of Supported Care Allowance form for care arrangements in which a relative/kin carer has been allocated:
The e-form can be completed and returned by relative/kin carers using email (for those carers that prefer to complete the form electronically).
The paper form may be completed and returned by relative/kin carers using postal mail (for those carers that prefer to complete the form in handwriting).
