JP Online security enhancements

JP Online security enhancements

Important security updates hav ebeen introduced to JP Online.

These include the introduction of two-factor authentication, CAPTCHA and account timeout features.

These enhancements affect the way you log in to JP Online and change how you log in when you have entered an incorrect password.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication requires users to provide two separate pieces of information to verify their identity.

In addition to entering your username and password, you will be prompted to provide a second factor of authentication when you reset your password. This will be a unique code sent to your email or mobile device.

CAPTCHA

CAPTCHA is a simple test designed to prove that you are human and not a computer. If you enter an incorrect password when attempting to log in to JP Online, you will be prompted to enter a randomly generated sequence of letters and numbers that will appear on screen.

What do you need to do?

JPs are encouraged to enable two-factor authentication as soon as possible from Monday 3 July. To do so, simply login to JP Online and reset your password.

You can also refer to the JP Online new security measures factsheet for more information on how the changes will appear.
